How do I recycle my smoke or carbon monoxide alarm?

Since October 2011, ReGeneration has managed the provincial AlarmRecycle program for used or expired smoke and carbon monoxide (CO) alarms.  This program excludes units that are connected to building-wide monitoring or alarm systems.

The maximum number of smoke and CO alarms accepted at one time is 40.  If you have more than 40 units, please contact Product Care directly to arrange for collection - available here.  For smaller volumes, contact the RCBC Recycling Hotline or visit the ReGeneration website to find the nearest free drop-off location.
