What does BC's deposit/refund program cover? (With Bonus Video)

Warning message

Some recycling and solid waste facilities are temporarily closed, operating with reduced hours, or accepting a limited range of materials – please call ahead. Consider delaying your visit to facilities unless absolutely necessary by storing dry recyclables and other items at home temporarily.

The beverage container schedule of the Recycling Regulation encompasses all containers of ready-to-drink beverages, with the exception of infant formula, meal replacements, milk and milk-substitutes. Examples of products in this system include juice, pop, water, iced tea, sport drinks, beer, wine, coolers and spirit containers.

For more information on deposits and refund locations, call the RCBC Recycling Hotline or visit the RCBC Recyclepedia or Return-It website.
