Used motor oil, oil filters, and oil containers are accepted through the BC Used Oil Recycling program, which is managed by the Interchange Recycling. The materials can be dropped off at various collection depots throughout the province, which include participating repair shops, car dealerships, and retailers. These collection facilities can accept residential amounts (approximately 10-15 litres) per visit, free of charge; please contact them ahead of time to ensure they have the storage capacity to handle the volume that you have.
Visit RCBC’s Recyclepedia for drop-off options or contact the RCBC Recycling Hotline for all options available in your community.
