Recycling Council of BC Launches new Website, Recyclepedia Search

The Recycling Council of BC (RCBC) is pleased to announce the launch of a new and redesigned website. This updated website design advances RCBC’s work to provide residents, businesses, and groups across BC with reliable, up-to-date information on recycling, waste reduction, and the Circular Economy.

The newly redesigned website includes a comprehensive FAQ section with information on a wide range of materials and services, an updated Recyclepedia search engine, educational resources on waste reduction and circular economy concepts, and opportunities to engage with RCBC’s work towards a circular economy in BC. Performance improvements include a new, mobile-friendly responsive interface (to ensure that the information you need is at your fingertips whether at home or on the go) and an integrated contact form to send your recycling and waste reduction questions directly to our team of Environmental Advisors.

“RCBC is on a path of revitalization, and the new website is a concrete example of our new focus on the circular economy; it will allow us to communicate with the public, our members, and our stakeholders more directly than ever. We look forward to more exciting changes in 2023” said Eric Hargrave, Operations Manager for RCBC.

The Recyclepedia search provides information and drop-off locations throughout BC for over 100 materials from electronics to building materials to household hazardous wastes. The updates made to the Recyclepedia improve reliability and will facilitate future expansions and improvements.

Visitors to the site can stay informed about recycling, waste reduction, and circular economy advancements and announcements through RCBC’s newly developed Resource library and News page, which will include blog posts, press releases, and other updates. You can also find out about our staff and Board members.

Established in 1974, RCBC is Canada’s longest serving recycling council, working to facilitate the exchange of ideas and knowledge that enable efficient solutions to eliminate waste.
