How do we scale community-based reuse, repair, and sharing business models in BC?
From tool libraries to textile reuse to refill stores, community-led businesses and initiatives are building the foundation of a circular economy right here in BC. But despite their impact, these local solutions often face policy, funding, and infrastructure barriers that limit their potential.
Register below and join us in-person for Getting to Zero Waste, a cross-sector event exploring how government, NGOs, and social innovators can better support and scale reuse, repair, and sharing business models, and help move BC up the waste hierarchy.
We’ll hear from speakers from organizations including Vancouver Food Runners, The Thingery, Our Social Fabric, and Ridge Meadows Repair Cafe. This event will connect community organizations, local government staff, and circular economy practitioners to share success stories, identify barriers, and generate concrete ideas for advancing zero waste solutions in real, local ways.
