Yes. Alcoholic beverages, such as beer, wine, and spirits, are included in the deposit/refund recycling program. The deposit for alcoholic beverage containers is 10 cents. The recycling program for refillable domestic beer and cider bottles, plus any beer in aluminum cans, is administered by the BC Brewers Recycled Container Collection Council. For a full refund of your deposit, these containers can be returned to any government owned liquor store. Return-It bottle depots will also accept domestic beer and cider bottles and beer cans for recycling, although refund values may vary.
